Vishal Gandhi is Founder, Managing Partner and CEO at BIORx Venture Advisors. At BIORx ,he leads the execution of various Strategic Advisory / Technology Transfer / Project Appraisal/Corporate Finance/ Investment Banking( M&A) deals in Life Sciences and Healthcare sectors from seed stage to growth and mature stage companies. At YES Bank where he worked for 6 years, he had significantly developed the Life Sciences and Healthcare Vertical and dealt with more than 300 related organizations and closed more than 35 transactions in the area of M&A/Private Equity space/Debt
Prior to joining YES BANK in September 2006, he has worked with, FICCI, Genomic Solutions - U.K, Ranbaxy Laboratories and Dabur India Limited in various capacities. He has over 12 years of diverse experience in Healthcare Financing, Strategy, business development, and public policy advocacy. In his previous role at FICCI, Vishal was actively involved in taking up policy issues with the various government departments to create a better business environment for the Biotechnology, Healthcare & Pharmaceuticals sectors. He has been a part of various business delegations to USA, China and U.K for facilitating Biotechnology and Pharma Bilateral trade
Vishal is a member of various sectoral taskforces of the respective industry associations, including CII, FICCI, ABLE, OPPI, IDMA, and Department of Biotechnology, USIBC taskforce for Biotechnology and Nanotechnology, among others. He has been often quoted on all the leading business news-paper for his views related to major deals in the sectors. He was also a Jury member for Bio-spectrum awards for the year 2011.He holds an executive management degree from XLRI, Jamshedpur with specialization in finance and strategy. He completed his Master’s degree in Biotechnology from Central University, Hyderabad and a Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences honours from Delhi University respectively. In addition to this, he has obtained a PG diploma in IPR management from Institute of intellectual property development under the aegis of WTO.
