Dr. P. V. Appaji, a doctorate in Pharmaceutical Sciences from Nagpur started his career in 1975 with the Drugs Control Organization, Government of Andhra Pradesh. Currently working as Executive Director/CEO of Pharmaceuticals Export Promotion Council (PHARMEXCIL) at Hyderabad, Dr. Appaji has contributed significantly to the development of pharmaceutical industry in India. Not only has he helped the Indian pharmaceutical exports grow by taking up measures and initiating several actions, but has also helped SMEs enter and grow in pharma exports segment. Even more, Dr. Appaji has taken several delegations of India Pharma to countries round the world for trade promotion and interaction with international agencies and has also published research articles in Indian and foreign journals.
